Therapists at Red Mountain Therapeutic Riding Center are passionate about the emotional and physical effects of Hippotherapy.
A boy with CP, who is in a wheelchair, is featured on video and his progress is followed. He can’t speak... but therapists show him riding and talk about how they can see the excitement in his eyes and feel it in his body each time he gets on the horse. They describe it as ‘incredible’.
Also highlighted is Oria, a child who had a brain tumor removed with she was an infant. Oria used to ride lying down on the horse but now, 12 years later, is seen riding upright. The video clips of her progression are simply amazing.
The stories from these therapists and those who take part in Hippotherapy is moving and shows firsthand how it's making a difference in the lives of many patients with CP.
