Eddie McGuire knows firsthand how special a canine companion can be.
He has Cerebral Palsy and his dog, Hero, is making a major difference in how he lives his life.
Hero helps Eddie with daily activities like pushing an elevator button. He also helps out in the store when Eddie decided which items he’d like to buy. This little guy will even pick up a wallet that's fallen on the floor!
The organization Power Paws breeds and trains assistance dogs at a cost of about $20,000. People who receive the dogs get them at a bargain...only paying about $5,000. There is a wait time of about 1 to 2 years.
