Since being introduced in the 1990's, the TheraSuit® Method has played an important role in therapy for children with Cerebral Palsy.
5 year old Anika Nath is one of those who is making progress. Her mother, Monica, says for the first three years of her life, they tried different therapies. None of the interventions made a difference and Anika continued to have poor balance, along with other effects of the brain injury. Anika has been using the TheraSuit® Method for two years and, to her mother’s delight, is now able to take steps.
Richard Topolewski is another parent who says he is seeing a change in his son, Zach, after utilizing the TheraSuit® Method. When the family came to the clinic 2 years ago, Zach couldn’t sit or even hold himself up on all fours. His dad says he is now taking steps with a walker.
Founders, Izabela and Richard Zoscielny‘s daughter, Kaya, was also born with CP. They, too, tried many different therapies but didn’t see results until they took Kaya to Poland. There, they underwent ‘suit’ therapy and Kaya began making progress. The couple brought the method to the US in 1994 and, later, patented their own version of the ‘suit’ calling it TheraSuit®. In this 2 part series, the couple is interviewed about the TheraSuit method and why they believe in it’s healing effects.
